Economic and Actuarial Work

Mr. Riccardi is an Actuary and Economist by education and training and has taught at Capital District colleges for over two decades. He has authored numerous articles in peer-reviewed publications and is frequently asked to comment on economic issues and trends on the local and national level. Mr. Riccardi has been retained by attorneys, municipalities and businesses for thirty years to apply his experience to the evaluation of economic loss in both the litigation and non-litigation environments.

Litigation Support and Expert Testimony

Mr. Riccardi is regularly retained by attorneys for both sides in litigation. He works with the attorney to analyze and evaluate the basis and extent of provable economic loss and provides accurate, timely analysis, which can then be utilized as a tool for settlement purposes, or presented through expert testimony at trial. Mr. Riccardi has developed widely-recognized models to calculate economic loss in liability matters. His expertise in the application of CPLR 50-A and 50-B enables past and future loss to be accurately quantified for a personal injury or medical negligence matters in New York courts. He has testified in state and federal courts and is also available to assist the attorney in the analysis of the assumptions and economic loss calculations of opposing experts for effective cross-examination.
